Bringing Light and Truth to Those in Darkness
At Dayspring Christian Center, our vision is to bring the light and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to those in darkness through fellowship, evangelism, conversion, discipleship, church membership, training, and service.
Our name reflects our calling. In Luke 1:78–79, Scripture speaks of the Dayspring from on high visiting us, bringing light to those who sit in darkness and guiding their feet into the way of peace. This is the heart of who we are: a church committed to shining the light of Christ so that people may know His love, experience His saving power, grow in His Word, and walk in the purpose He has for their lives.
Rooted in the Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation for all we believe, teach, and do. Scripture is not simply something we read on Sundays. It is God’s truth for everyday life, giving wisdom, correction, direction, encouragement, and hope.
Because we believe God’s Word is practical, we seek to apply it in our homes, our relationships, our worship, our service, and our daily decisions. We desire to be a church that does more than hear the Word. We want to live it, share it, and allow it to transform every part of our lives.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
2 Timothy 3:16
Centered on Jesus Christ
At the center of our vision is Jesus Christ. We believe that He is the Savior of the world, the hope for every broken life, and the head of the Church. Through Him, forgiveness is available, lives are made new, families can be strengthened, and those without hope can discover a future filled with purpose.
Our purpose is to spread the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and make disciples of believers. We are committed to reaching people with the gospel, welcoming them with grace, and helping them develop a lasting relationship with God.
No matter a person’s background, struggle, past, or present circumstance, we believe the truth of Jesus Christ can bring light into darkness, healing into brokenness, and new life where there was once despair.
Led by the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active in the life of the Church. He leads, strengthens, comforts, convicts, equips, and empowers believers to fulfill the work God has called them to do.
We believe every believer has value, purpose, and a God-given place within the body of Christ. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Church is strengthened and equipped to minister effectively, serve faithfully, and reflect the love of Christ to the world around us.
How We Live Out the Vision
The vision of Dayspring is more than a statement. It is the work we are committed to carrying out together as a church family.
Fellowship
We believe spiritual growth happens in relationship with God and with one another. Through worship, encouragement, prayer, and meaningful connection, we grow together as the body of Christ. Fellowship reminds us that no one is called to walk alone. We are a family of believers, strengthened as we love, support, and encourage one another in faith.
Acts 2:42
Evangelism
We are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around us. Evangelism is more than an invitation to church. It is a life that points people to Christ through truth, compassion, love, and faithful witness. We desire to reach our community and beyond with the message that Jesus saves, restores, and gives hope.
Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 3:15
Conversion
We believe every person can experience new life through Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in Him, sins are forgiven, hearts are changed, and lives are made new. Our desire is to lead individuals out of darkness and into a genuine relationship with Christ, where they can receive His grace and walk in the freedom He provides.
John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 10:9
Discipleship
We believe salvation is the beginning of a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Discipleship is the ongoing process of learning His Word, following His example, becoming more like Him, and bearing fruit in every area of life. At Dayspring, we are committed to helping believers mature in faith and become equipped to live out their calling.
John 15:1–8
Church Membership
We believe the local church is an essential part of the believer’s life. Church membership is an opportunity to belong to a spiritual family, grow in accountability, receive encouragement, and participate in the shared work of ministry. At Dayspring, we desire to create a place where people are known, loved, nurtured, and encouraged to use their gifts for the glory of God.
Acts 2:47
Training
We believe believers should be equipped to understand the Word of God and live it faithfully. Through biblical teaching, ministry development, spiritual formation, and practical instruction, we seek to prepare individuals to serve with excellence, wisdom, and integrity. Training helps us grow from simply attending church to actively fulfilling the work God has placed before us.
2 Timothy 2:15
Service
We believe God has given gifts, abilities, and opportunities to every believer for the purpose of serving others. Service is an expression of love, obedience, and gratitude to God. Whether within the church or throughout the community, we desire to use what God has placed in our hands to meet needs, bless lives, and demonstrate the heart of Christ.
Romans 12:3–8
A Vision for the Church and the Community
Dayspring Christian Center exists to be a place of worship, growth, restoration, and service. We desire to see people come to know Jesus Christ, families strengthened by the Word of God, believers equipped to walk in purpose, and our community impacted by the love and light of the gospel.
We are committed to extending grace to those who are hurting, welcoming those who are searching, restoring those who have been broken, and encouraging every believer to become all that God has called them to be.
As we continue to grow, serve, and move forward in faith, our vision remains the same:
To bring the light and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to those in darkness through fellowship, evangelism, conversion, discipleship, church membership, training, and service.
